"Worrying About Stuff Is a Sign of Intelligence"

"In other words, the verbally intelligent are tormented by their memory for detail, while those better at picking up on non-verbal cues are able to pick up more information in the moment and have less of a need to rehash events in their heads afterwards.

It all makes for some interesting research, and a potential upside to being a worrier."

The sample makes this a little questionable - undergraduates at a university who are presumably of both above-average intelligence and in the most intellectually intense period of their lives - but it also makes me think that academic institutions should be more responsible about mental health given that they are hoping to attract this highly neurotic population.
