"I Blindfolded My Tea With Strangers Guests"

"We deliberately chose to go by nicknames for the conversation.

Without any visuals, all we had were our voices and stories to craft our identities.

So there we sat, 5 blindfolded strangers with 2 full hours to spend with each other...

We were curious. What would a conversation be like without any visual cues? What would it be like if you could get to know someone solely by the content of their thoughts — and nothing else?

Wonderful...

I realized that the age old idea of the “awkward silence” is really a visual problem rather than an auditory one. It’s not the actual silence that’s awkward. It’s seeing another person in silence."
